What I like about it?

The Harvest Pea Snaps are great for snacking and are advertised to have more dietary fibre and less sodium compared to regular potato chips. On average, regular potato chips have 3g of fibre and 660mg of sodium per 100g, whereas Calbee’s Pea Snaps have 8.3g of fibre and 451mg of sodium. It is also suitable for consumers who have a gluten allergy or chronic diseases such as Coeliac disease as the product is naturally gluten free. The distinct flavour of peas is prominent in this light crispy snack and the salt isn’t too overpowering.

What I don’t like about it?

The Harvest Snaps are high in salt and contains flavour enhancer. Like other processed foods, it is highly processed and flavoured.

Would I give them to my children?

Calbee manufactures snack packs and they are nut-free. They may be suitable for school lunch boxes as an occasional treat.
