Plant-based eating for health

Health conditions such as coronary heart disease, cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes, certain cancers such as colorectal and breast cancers can benefit from diet change as a risk reduction strategies. Risk reduction ranges from 20% to 80% depending on the medical condition. Dietary change can help to improve total and LDL-cholesterol, lowering blood pressure, reduce inflammation (as measured by CRP level), blood glucose/insulin and triglycerides; and reducing body weight.
